The SkyView HDX is a full flight deck, with all the functionality of systems costing far more, including autopilot. System prices are the same as the company’s experimental or light sport aircraft version, about $16,000 for the Cessna 172, plus the owner will have to pay an additional $2,000 for the supplemental type certificate (STC) applicable to the airplane. Dynon plans to obtain an approved model list STC to cover a larger variety of airplane models.
et enfin:
The SkyViewHDX will be fully IFR capable, and it will also integrate with navigators such as the Avidyne IFD series and Garmin GTN/GNS series.
Petite MAJ sur ce topic: Le skyview HDX est STC pour les Cessna 172F, G,H,I, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, et S http://www.dynonavionics.com/skyview-hdx.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Can I purchase from the same dealers as your experimental products? Can I repurpose used products from an LSA or E-AB aircraft? No. Dynon Certified SkyView HDX systems can only be purchased through an authorized Dynon Certified installer. Because the certified versions are PMA’d, they are not interchangeable with Experimental / LSA products
J'attends une réponse de leur 'installateur' au Texas comment il procèdent pour les Canadiens. Gardons les doigts croisés..
C'est pas demain que ça va arriver, voici la réponse de Dynon : We appreciate your enthusiasm and anxiousness, but I have to ask for your continued patience. We won't start considering selling and supporting the STC and Dynon Certified products for many more months. We must first establish and expand our sales/installation/support network in the US, as well as adding several more aircraft types to the AML.
Initially installation will only be permitted at the location of those authorized by Dynon to sell and install our Certified products. Eventually we intend to find a way for aircraft owners unable to reach an authorized installer to have a designated AP/IA install the system. Details of how those transactions will occur have yet to be pinned down.
The formal approval of the STC is an extraordinary first milestone, but as you see there is still much for us to accomplish. Again I must ask for your patience until we are able to turn our attention to international sales and support of Dynon Cerfified products.
