Pas de piste, pas de probleme...

Je suis tombé la dessus. Un atterrissage ''tree top''.

Tiré du net:

'' Well ..... thought I had seen almost everything!! This happened on the next little strip over from our house this afternoon. This little strip is narrow and confined in 60-70 foot tall Birch trees. The fellow took off with calm wind on the ground. Upon reaching tree height I think he encountered a tail wind. He is telling me all this as I am standing on the ground looking up 60+ feet. He said it stalled and started to roll right and he went into the tree tops. The tree tops grabbed and stopped him in mid air. He said after he came to a stop the engine was still running. He said I just shut it down normally and here I sit! It took a couple of hours to get him down. Getting the plane down is going to be another problem !
So it is getting rather humorous the longer we wait! Law enforcement is in somewhat of a tailspin. I hear talk of all sorts of rescue ideas. Problem is the ground is real soft. The local power company(MEA) is called for a bucket/boom truck. Which was the only thing to reach that far but we already had one extenda-boom fork lift try to get in and it got stuck right away. I am surprised MEA even tried. If it wasn't for a local resident with some sort of four track vehicle it never would have happened. They ruined the runway towing it 700-800 feet up the runway and got stuck turning around.
So what can I do ?? Not much !! So I get the idea that if he had a rope he should tie the tree to the gear leg or struts. If it did then start to fall it might at least slow it down before hitting the ground. I met his wife who was rather clam. She said he has come off his horse roping cows harder than he is going to fall! He had a rope in the baggage compartment and got it tied off OK.

So my question is...... Is this an Accident or an Incident and should he report to FAA? Minor damage to the plane. No injuries. The plane has not had contact with the ground. No sudden stoppage with the propeller. He shut it off after coming to a stop.

If they damage it taking it down from the trees I don't think there is any law against that ! ''

T'as vu le commentaire ?

The pilot was trying to decide between a Three Point Landing, or a Two point. He finally decided for a Tree point Landing.
