Good evening Gentlemen,

Following is Claude's report of the ice on the river as of this Wednesday afternoon. As you
will see, in spite of the recent warm spell, and because of the deep freeze before that, there
is a very solid minimum of 13 inches of ice on the river just waiting for a flock of skiplanes
to land on it! With regards to the reports of slush on top of the ice, I suspect that with the
temperature plunge forecast to start Thursday the slush too will be ice by the time we arrive.

The forecast for the weekend is also inserted below. Pilots please keep in mind that while the
ice thickness was actually measured the forecast is only the guess of some psychic in a room
with no windows. Be prudent and err on the side of safety - it's better to arrive by car and
wish that you had flown than to be stuck in a field somewhere with your plane wishing you had
driven.

Good afternoon guys:

Bruce Brown, his daughter Allison, Pierre Perreault and me were all at Montebello today to assess the ice conditions and prepare
the docks for the arrival of airplanes over the weekend.

All went well and we can report a minimum of 13 inches of ice at/near the entrance of the harbor. Also there is a good 15
centimeters (six inches) of mushy wet snow on top of the ice.

Here is the Environment Canada weather forecast for the next days:

Thursday: Mainly cloudy. 40 percent chance of rain showers changing to 40 percent chance of flurries late in the
morning. Wind southwest 40 km/h gusting to 60. Temperature falling to minus 7 in the afternoon.
Thursday night: Partly cloudy. Wind west 40 km/h gusting to 60 becoming light late in the evening. Low minus 15.
Friday: Sunny. High minus 13.
Saturday: Cloudy with 60 percent chance of flurries. Low minus 18. High minus 10.
Sunday: Cloudy with 60 percent chance of flurries. Low minus 18. High minus 8.
Monday: Cloudy with 60 percent chance of flurries. Low minus 18. High minus 10.
Tuesday: Cloudy with 60 percent chance of flurries. Low minus 14. High minus 9.

As you can see, people will be able to fly in and out of the show on Friday, but conditions will be difficult for all the long distance
flyers.

So be it. You can still expect a good 120 people at banquet time on Saturday evening.

La météo vient d'annuler mes espoirs de voler de La Malbaie à Momtebello.
Et ça me tente pas de me taper 12 hrs+ d'auto (round trip).
Donc à l'an prochain peut-être...

Oui, j'y suis allé 2 fois aujourd'hui.
Piste de 76 kilomètres de long en belle glace raboteuse.
Parfait pour roue de nez également sans aucun problème.
Pas beaucoup de challenger par contre.

Nous avons passer presque toute la journée a Montebello..c'était très bien j'ai été particulièrement heureux de voir le Seebee sur ski..comme notre ami le dit c'est de la glace raboteuse si vous atterisser devant les quais il y a aucun probleme...

Super photo M.Bonin..on voit même mon bébé dans son carrosse,,je croit que c'était le plus jeune participant..si on lui demandait un choix comme " veut tu glisser ou voir les avion" il répondait sans hésiter "aion" au moin j'en est un sur mon bord

Nous somme arriver en après midi et il n'y avait plus personne a Beloeil le plafond était très bas a 11:00 nous avons décoller a plus ou moins 12:30
